Mrs Sloans year 11 Contemporary Crafts group enjoyed a recent trip to Greenwood Work Ireland. This year 11 class have started a four week block of workshops with local craftsperson Steve Ryan in his workshop at Minnowburn Forest.
Together with some pupils from Thornfield House School they learnt all about the tools used in woodcarving and how to use them safely. All pupils had a chance to practice carving with different tools and used some stamps to make some fantastic first designs.
