Planned industrial action - Thursday 15th June 2023 - Friday 23rd June 2023

The Education Authority (EA) has warned of expected disruption to some school services as a result of a notified strike by Unite the Union from Thursday 15th June to Friday 23rd June 2023 inclusive.    We are working with schools, youth services and our partners to minimise any disruption to children and young people caused by the industrial action. However, despite this, there will be disruption to some services, at this stage we anticipate that the impact is likely to be most significant across some transport and catering services.   It is anticipated that there will be an impact on a number of Special Schools, as regular transport for children may not be available, and there may also be a number of Classroom Assistants, who are Unite members, taking part in the industrial action.   We encourage parents to check the EA website for regular updates and details of any planned disruption here: www.eani.org.uk/industrialactionupdates   Information is also available across EA social media channels
