Primary is a happy place where every pupil is important and valued. The children are carefully observed and assessed throughout the year so programmes of work can be planned to meet individual needs. As well as focusing on the core subjects of Literacy, Numeracy and ICT a strong emphasis is placed on developing Social, Emotional and Communication Skills and on the promotion of positive behaviour. We value the role of active experiences to enhance learning, including Play-Based activities, practical numeracy and literacy tasks, Cookery, PE, Music and Art. Primary Movement, Sensory activities and relaxation through the Take Ten programme also play a key part in our class timetables. We enjoy learning in the local community through shopping trips and visits to the farm and library. Our aim is that every child will reach their full potential; achievements are recognized and celebrated together regularly.
